What's It All About
A few months ago, Kim Miller and I were talking about how much effort Brenda Street had put into Elesy Manor to make it what it is today. We talked about how nice it would be for people that did not have the opportunity to know her to understand the significant impact she had on everything we do at Elesy Manor. We wanted as many people as possible to know as much as possible about Brenda and her permanent influence on the operation at Elesy Manor.
After discussing ways and means to "get the message out" regarding the Elesy Manor philosophy and history, we decided that we would issue a monthly newsletter to make Elesy Manor "happenings" available to all of our families and friends each month. We decided to call our newsletter Elesy Manor Happenings. This is the first issue of Elesy Manor Happenings. Accordingly, we dedicate it to the memory of Mrs. Brenda Street, founder and builder of Elesy Manor and its people oriented customer satisfaction and "our residents first" philosophy. The theme of this issue is "The Dream" because Elesy Manor is the fulfillment of Brenda's dream to own and operate a Senior Assisted Facility. This issue contains the history of Elesy Manor, the Elesy Manor Mission Statement, the Elesy Manor management philosophy, random thoughts of the present Administrator, Ms. Kimberly Miller, regarding Brenda's impact on her life and articles and pictures to show and describe how the Elesy Manor philosophy is implemented through the many activities and other services that we provide for our residents.
It is my sincere desire that each person who has the opportunity to read this first issue of Elesy Manor Happenings will gain awareness and appreciation of how special Brenda was and how much Elesy Manor meant to her. It is also my heartfelt desire that her spirit will live on forever and always serve as a guide in all of our actions including every decision we make and every deed we do as long as Elesy Manor exists. I want everyone who comes in contact with Elesy Manor to fully understand that the service we provide for our residents would not be possible without the hard work Brenda put into building and operating Elesy Manor during the last eight years of her life.
Elesy Manor is Brenda Street and everything that Kim Miller and I do as long as we are able will be done the Brenda Street way because we know as long as we do that, it will be impossible for us to fail.
Until Next Month,
Jimmy Street
