The Garden
In our constant attempt to provide innovative and new challenging activities for our residents, we decided to plant a small vegetable garden for the residents that might like to spend a few minutes harvesting fresh vegetables. This is our first attempt at this so we did experience some growing pains. Nevertheless, we have gotten squash, zucchini, string beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and egg plant. A couple of our residents seemed to enjoy the fresh air while gathering the fresh veggies. Our goal is to eventually get our residents more involved from tilling the soil to harvesting the veggies. This activity will certainly fall within the high standards inherent in “The Dream”
